Marina Fitch has published two novels, The Seventh Heart and The Border. Her short fiction has appeared in Pulphouse, MZB, F&SF, and Asimov's, and the anthologies, Desire Burn and Peter S. Beagle's Immortal Unicorn. She is currently at work on a novel and several new stories.

As for her day job, Marina works at Branciforte Elementary, playing with kids, one on one, in a room full of toys, art supplies, sports equipment, and books. Within in this magical realm, she has been Obi Wan Kenobi, Darth Maul, Xena, Charles Barkley, a PowerPuff Girl, and one of Harry Potter's Quidditch foes (never Draco Malfoy) - sometimes all on the same day. She has also developed a grudging respect for Barbie. She is a master at Don't Wake Daddy.

Marina also finds time for her other passions: her husband Mark, family and friends, rubber stamping, and music. She often combines these interests, sometimes with unusual results - an evening of Celtic harp and harmonica duets with Mark, say, or playing with music buddies at a stamp club meeting. She is also quite fond of her bicycle.

Marina lives in Watsonville, California srrounded by strawberry fields and wetlands. On balmy summer nights, she can hear the hum of the stock car races across the orchards.
